Biography
|
Mr. Albano is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey and is admitted to the United States District Courts of Connecticut and New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr. Albano’s litigation practice includes the full array of civil and commercial litigation in all courts; lease and lease guaranty enforcement, eviction, collection and defense; construction litigation and mechanics liens; land use permitting and appeals; tax appeals; real estate brokerage listing disputes, lien enforcement and administrative actions; partnership, shareholder and member disputes; loan workouts and defense; asset protection and recovery; and pursuit of fraudulent transfer, unjust enrichment, conversion, fraudulent misrepresentation and unfair trade practices claims. Mr. Albano has broad experience representing creditors and debtors in foreclosures and collections, actions based upon piercing the corporate veil, and also representing landowners in fraud, fraudulent transfer, CERCLA indemnification, and DEP enforcement actions. He has represented employers in defense of actions alleging wrongful termination, whistle-blowing retaliation, and emotional distress. Mr. Albano has represented businesses, individuals, and not-for-profit organizations in trust and estate litigation before probate and trial courts in matters involving breach of fiduciary duty, executor removal, will contests, and trust administration. Before moving to Connecticut in 2000, Mr. Albano practiced for several years before state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Albano has been an avid runner for over 30 years, and has raced in two recent Hartford Half-Marathons. Mr. Albano lives with his wife and daughter in West Hartford, Connecticut. He currently serves as Chairperson of TheaterWorks, a trend-setting regional theater in downtown Hartford.
