Daniel practices in the areas of Commercial Real Estate Law, Cannabis Law, Land Use and Telecommunications Law. Daniel advises clients on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including conveyancing, leasing (including office, retail and industrial leasing), financing, title, survey and environmental matters, the sale and disposition of commercial properties and general transactional due diligence. Daniel has successfully represented his clients in front of state and local administrative bodies, obtaining entitlements for real estate development projects as well as telecommunications projects and has permitted both large and small real estate development projects in the City of Boston and hundreds of wireless installations across New England.
Daniel has focused a significant portion of his practice in the formation, licensing and operation of both medical and adult use cannabis establishments. Daniel has successfully represented several cannabis establishments across the country winning licensing applications and getting to market quickly, including a handful of the first hybrid retailers in Connecticut, the first equity joint venture retail establishment in Connecticut, the first medical dispensary in the City of Boston and the first adult use retailer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Daniel advises his clients in various aspects of the Cannabis industry, including corporate structuring and entity formation, commercial contract review, mergers and acquisitions, real estate leases and/or purchases, regulatory compliance and state and local licensing applications. In addition to his legal practice, Daniel has personal experience owning, developing, and operating cannabis establishments.
Daniel also founded, and is an active board member of, the Connecticut Cannabis Chamber of Commerce, where he contributes to shaping the cannabis industry in the state and advocates for safe, fair, and equitable medical and adult use markets.
Prior to entering the law practice, Daniel worked closely with a private real estate developer and served as a consultant to various political campaigns in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Daniel was born and raised in Simsbury Connecticut and spent 12 years living in the City of Boston. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys golfing and outdoor activities. Daniel is civic minded and enjoys volunteer work and is actively engaged in local community groups and boards. He currently lives in South Windsor with his wife and two children.
